Well, it can kinda actually suck when proper directions are not to be found in Asia.
We thought we would try to hike the mountains in the New Territories (North Hong Kong, used to be part of Mainland China) but found ourselves hopping from Metro stop to Metro stop for 3 hours being told different directions at every location.
Here is a random temple that we stumbled upon on our Metro search though. :)
(when I say temple, I mean it used to be a temple, and now is used to sell trinkets.)
Anyways, ready to give up to hunt, we decided to just walk towards the mountains and just rough it up one for a while. Or so the guys decided...
But we ended up finding a little creepy staircase that lead into the mountains, and so became adventurous. It ended up being a really neat hike. There were all of these abandoned stone offering places. Though we were right next to the city, we seemed to be disconnected from it in our own little tropical jungle. It was a short but interest hike.
(freaks...)
(We didn't realize until after we finished our hike that we were on illegal territory...oh well...)
